A police investigation across three states has led to the arrests of the following four suspects all from Baltimore, MD, on charges of Robbery and Risking Catastrophe:

  • Donnell King, 39.
  • Charonda Cook, 27.
  • Barry Diggs, 26.
  • Jaquawon Matthews, 26.

The quadruple is suspected of stealing an ATM by driving through the front entrance of the York Fuel Stop at 1129 W. Market Street in West York Borough around 2:20 a.m. on Aug. 16, 2024, the police detailed.

"There was an employee and several customers inside at the time, and thankfully no one was injured at the time," the police noted.

At the time of the theft the ATM contained a large amount of US Currency, but it was empty when the machine was recovered in Baltimore, MD, according to the police.

Warrants were served by Maryland partner agencies Fugitive Task Forces. All suspects await extradition to Pennsylvania while incarcerated in Maryland.

It is believed that these individuals have orchestrated several other “smash & grab” ATM thefts throughout the Pennsylvania and Maryland areas since May 2024. WYBPD is continuing to work with those agencies and anyone with information is asked to call WYBPD at 717-854-1975.
